I'm Richard Goodlad, a keen photographer based in Shetland. Welcome to my website. The main purpose of the website is to showcase my photography with the option of purchasing/downloading any photos you like.

Living on an island surrounded by sea, at the most northern point of the British Isles can be challenging but rewarding. Shetland is a group of beautiful isles, each with their own history and characteristics. Double this with the fact that we can get diverse weather daily, adds to the challenges when taking photos.

Shetland has an abundance of scenic views, wildlife, birds, whales, otters, livestock, Shetland ponies and of course we hold the largest fire festival in Europe, Up Helly Aa. I would say Shetland is a photographers paradise.
